Andrea Kárpáti and Éva Molnár: Promoting the development of abilities through the use of itc in education This article presents the results of an educational experiment modelled on international projects creating equal opportunity. The experiment supported the hypothesis that students’ key abilities contributing to future success will develop significantly in a school environment where ICT is incorporated into the teaching of several subject areas and where both infrastructural and teacher training support is available. Students showed marked development in all the abilities targeted. Their gains in inductive reasoning were twice than that found in the control group, and even higher regarding their combinative ability. MAGYAR PEDAGÓGIA 104. Number 3. 293-317.
